First it was the plan to built an outdoor Mandarava statue in Tso Pema where she actually belong but anyhow she is present everywhere somebody are praying for her assistance.
The obstacle in Tso Pema is that some of the Hindu community are now cursing the Great Guru Rinpoche statue for all calamities happening in the place. That is why we think it is not the time to build another big statue, even of Mandarava who also is worshiped by the Hindus.
Now soon a short prayer to Mandarava will be printed in Tibetan, English,Hindi and Chinese. It will be distributed in many places.
Also a Tibetan version of the Mandarava life story is being made. Because the original version was written in 'kam yig' what very few Tibetans can read it is now being made in 'yig kar'.
It is the same version as the English translation by Lama Chonam and Sangye Khandro ' The lives and liberation of princess Mandarava', printed by Wisdom Books.
In order to spread the awareness about this precious dakini we find it appropriate to make her image at the Holy place of Jangchub Rabten Ling, Solan.
The statue will be made from white marble. It will be human live size. Standing in a lotus pond holding long life banner and long life vase.
