2008 Consecreation of Amitabha statue in Sunam birthplace of previous ven. Khunu Rinpoche
In the beginning of August 2008 I gathered with many Kinnauri lamas, nuns, yogies and laypractitioners for the consecreation of the 25 feet high Amitabha statue, built above the birthplace of ven. previous Khunu Rinpoche, namely Sunam in Kinnaur dist. Giabon.

To the memory of the previous great bodhisattva and to the benefit of all sentient beings. Spreading the profound teachings to liberate beings in all six realms. Here will be performed gatherings of pujas and mantra recitation every fullmoon and on other auspecious days.

The wish to built this statue is not only to remember previous Khunu Rinpoche, but also a blessing and inspiration to all the Kinnauri people. With the deep wish that the dharma may florish not only here, but everywhere.

It have taken one year to gather the founds, materials and permissions to built and one year to complete. And I am fully convinced that all who have contributed to this fullfilment may have gathered positive merit which also will benefit lesser fortunate beings.

The purpose of building temples, stupas and statues is not becouse it looks nice, but it is a sign of a 'golden' time. Which means that people are ready to make offerings not only to enrich themselves or being famous. It is the blessing of the first of the six Paramitras, 'generousity', which supports wisdom and enlightenment. Generousity, not only to benefit oneself, nearest and dearest, but unconditional generousity with the wish to benefit all. To benefit all is the lone purpose of the Buddhas teachings regarding all vehicles.

To benefit all is not to discriminate between anybody, regarding race or beliefs!

Building meditation centre near Solan
In 2007 I were presented a nice piece of land from one of my Kinnauri students. It is located in a natural reservation 17 km. outside the Himalayan capital Simla. The whole area is very quiet and there are many birds and animals, and there is only permission to build spiritual centres in that location.
Because the roads to the old monestary in Kinnaur are very unpredictable, we have decided to make a center here, which also can fulfil the needs of the Kinnauri students during the winter period, when I will come and perform cermonies and teachings.
But I also think of the western dharma students need for a really quiet place to do retreats for longer periods.
The building has not started, but the plan is to build a teaching hall and many small retreat huts, all in natural materials. Just now I am studying about how that can be done. And I am aware that it take some western expertise, so I am praying to find a group of westeners who would like to come and help with that project. I am thinking about a workshop, where different people from different countries can come and work together. At the location are already many of the building materials, clay, stone, water and wood. In the end it would be nice also to make facilities to atract many of the rich varaity of himalayan birds and animals.

Restauration of the 600 year old monestary

This year I have contact with an artist from Bulgaria, Dimitrios Papadakis. He is an expert in restaurations of old fresco paintings and he has promised next year in the summertime to come and se the monastary and the very old paintings which needs restauration. So that is another very interesting project. And if somebody would be interested in that then please contact me, as the work both will need funds and the help of skilled artist painters and restauration artists of wood works.

A Clear Reflecting Mirror

In 2001 I wrote the book 'A Clear Reflecting Mirror'.

It is a guide to the six Bardo's. Although I am not very skilled, I am deeply motivated to inform other people about the process we undergo from the time we enter the womb of our mother in this life until we choose the next.

During this lifetime can we cultivate benefit, not only for our own needs. We can also be of great benefit to others through awareness, loving kindness, and knowing that we are truly interdependent with all sentient beings and the natural world around us.

We can accomplish great benefit for ourselves by following the teachings of Buddha Sakyamuni and the linages of accomplished Bodhisattva's and Mahasiddha's, down to the living Lama's we are able to meet in our life; knowing that those teachings are all of the (nature of wisdom) 'mind', and beyond all things material.
The teachings on meditation and dream yoga, are what we can practise during this life, and they will benefit us when we are going to die and have to choose the next life

As human beings, we will all die. When we die, there is nothing but our 'mind-essence', which we have created through our 'karma', that will accompany us in that process of transition.

What happends after the last breath is drawn, is a bit similar to what we can experience in dreams and meditation. That is why they also are called 'Bardo's', interluding states of mind.

In my book I am trying to explain these processes and how we self can self-guide them.

As I wrote the book in Tibetan, I have only been able to teach it to my students in Kinnaur, (H.P.), India. Even there the teachings get translated to Kinnauri language. Now my book has also been translated to Hindi, Indian language.

In 2005, I gave brief teachings from that book in Denmark, whith a Danish translater.
It will soon be available in English and Danish.
It is still under consideration wheather we are printing a book or sending it on the web.
I will be giving teachings from that text in Copenhagen, Denmark. 'Pendeling', Nørregade. from 08.09.07-09.09.07. see program.

The nuns of Tashi Choeling
In the old monestary of Tashi Choeling lives 9 nuns, age 26-50. They have been living there since I first visited the Monestary when I were 6 years old.
It is a very hard life up there and often cut off from the outer world. The nuns are not only studying dharma, performing rituals and meditation; but they also have to help in cermonies in the different villages around, plus helping in the fields of their families, as very few people live up there and every hand is important for their survival.
Now the nuns are getting older and they want to do only dharma studies and meditation. So I am trying to find funds for that purpose. It requires, restauration of the monestary so they can have privat rooms, kitchens and bathrooms, and teachers to visit. And to hire people who can do their fieldwork.
At the moment we have a very kind dharma-practitioner Maria Damsholt in Denmark, who is selling  a very good product from up there; that is cold pressed abricot-seed oil, which is grown in 3000 m. altitude and is absolutely natural. The oil has vitamin A,E,D and many minerals. It is a good skin, hair and bone restoration. It has a healing effect on scars and in some cases of skin diseases and can be used as a sun screen. The money is going to the nuns project. It is not a big scale production, becouse of a limited availibility, but it is a great help.

My new assistant monk Karam Chand
This is my new assistant monk Karam Chand. He has already been with me for many years and he assisted me in Taiwan in 2006-07. He is from Spiti, near to Kinnaur. He has completed his lama education in Nepal and is very well skilled in the Puja ceremonies. Here you see him at the varanda of my house in Clement Town, Mindrolling, Dehra Dun, India. As you see he is a really cool monk!
Surely we miss Dorje Gyaltsan, who have been with me to denmark two times. He also tells hello to everybody and is really sad that he can't be here this time. He has chosen to investigate th elife in New York, but he is still a monk!
